Hey, really sorry I haven't replied sooner, I've been so busy.
The make and model of my server: Supermicro SC512F-410B
More details:
Super Micro Computer, Inc. - Products | Chassis | 1U | SC512F-410B
So I've tried resetting the password using all the help I can find of the Google. Basically, I've made a copy of the open solaris disk, popped it in, got to the GRUB loader, gone into single user mode and then for some reason it just runs the Live CD straight away and I get the operating system, but obviously cannot make any lasting changes as it's running from the CD??
I've tried all sorts of things from Google and nothing seems to be working.
I've followed this too and this didn't seem to work:
My Tech Blog - Gautam: Reset Linux Root Password Using The GRUB
Any help would be greatly appreciated, please excuse my total lack of knowledge
