Wrench How to edit clouds with gimp, artistic painting.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

Right, graphics person stumbled into the software world. Smilie

Basically need to Gimp a cloud to paint a silver lunar crescent to create a nocturnal/diurnal atmosphere to a background picture. Am currently using gimp 2 but have in the past used psp and photoshop, can revert back to those but that would cost money ( ! ) and we dont like that do we?

I heard white is the new "it" colour for the summer from one of your lasses and my dear grandmother insisted on that silver would be the thing. Any other artistic ideas of how to create a symbiosis between these two colour schemes?
As they say in fashion, it's important to "make it work".

On the technical side how does one blur and incorporate such radically different colouring without losing the Balance of the entire artwork?

The first time you met me <<.>> I wore a red hat. Was it pretty ?
