In c program After socket created when I do Connect() it results "Connection refused", but the system is online and I am able to do telnet, ping everything, but it says connection refused.
What would need to correct ?
Networking is a very complicated issue. We could take some wild stabs in the dark, but that could take forever.
We need more information from you if we're to help you. Specifically:
1) Please post a small, working example that causes the error on your machine. We might not get the error you get, but seeing the code is valuable.
2) Please post the output of the program.
3) Please post
specific details of other commands you run that demonstrate network connectivity.
4) Please post the networking information of your machine (the output of `ifconfig' should do just fine).

I'm trying to use rsh command to read a variable on a remote machine. I can rlogin with no problem. If I rsh HOST I also get connection like with rlogin. There is no need for passwords. But when I rsh HOST COMMAND it waits 30 seconds then gives me a connection refused error message. Any ideas?

yodlpost
yodlpost(1) Your Own Document Language yodlpost(1)
NAME
yodlpost - Yodl post-processor
SYNOPSIS
yodlpost [options] index yodlout [out]
DESCRIPTION
The Yodl post processor is used to solve references into the converted text, and to split (where appropriate) the converted Yodl text in
parts. Some conversions do not require post-processing, such as LaTeX, but most do. Therefore, in most cases a Yodl conversion consists of
two phases:
o First, yodl(1) is called, producing a raw output file and an associated index file;
o Then, yodlpost(1) is called, converting these two files into a final document. Normally, yodl2...(1) scripts are used to perform
complete Yodl conversions.
OPTIONS
-x ext: extension of the out-s if different from out's extension itself. If omitted, and out has no extension, ypp (Yodl Post Processor) is
used.
