How to get the start time for a JAVA Main running process
I have a script that executes a MAIN JAVA FILE

It does check if the process is already running or not by using this code
Code:
w_pid=`ps -efx | grep -v grep | grep "FileTransactionArchiveMain dvlp"|awk '{print $11}'`
if [ "$w_pid" != "" ]
then
    #echo 'Another instance is running.'
    exit
fi

Now I have to find when that process had started.

for finding a batch file start time i used this
Code:
VAR=$(ps -ef | grep batch_proc_x | grep -v grep)

batch_proc_x is a script file.

but if I use the same code for FileTransactionArchiveMain VAR returns null or blank.

how do I get the start time for FileTransactionArchiveMain?

NAME

       zgrep - search possibly compressed files for a regular expression

SYNOPSIS

       zgrep [ grep_options ] [ -e ] pattern filename...

DESCRIPTION

       Zgrep  invokes  grep  on  compressed  or  gzipped  files.   These  grep	options  will  cause  zgrep  to  terminate  with  an  error  code:
       (-[drRzZ]|--di*|--exc*|--inc*|--rec*|--nu*).  All other options specified are passed directly to grep.  If no file is specified,  then  the
       standard input is decompressed if necessary and fed to grep.  Otherwise the given files are uncompressed if necessary and fed to grep.

       If the GREP environment variable is set, zgrep uses it as the grep program to be invoked.

EXIT CODE

       2 - An option that is not supported was specified.
