Help to fetch first two characters from a word in perl
Hi All,
I have a word "DE_PR_Package__Basic" , i need to check if the first two characters of this words is DE or something else using perl script.
Can anyone pls let me know how to proceed?

Determine if words are reserved by PostgreSQL.
METHODS
is_reserved( $word )
Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by either PostgreSQL 7.3, 7.4, 8.0 or 8.1.
is_reserved_by_postgresql7( $word )
Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by either PostgreSQL 7.3 or 7.4.
is_reserved_by_postgresql8( $word )
Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by either PostgreSQL 8.0 or 8.1.
reserved_by( $word )
Returns a list with PostgreSQL versions that reserves $word.
