That will be two distinct comms interfaces. There is no failover mechanism.
Try "lanscan" to see what is LAN cards are fitted and to find out each "lanN" number then run "ifconfig lanN" to find out whether the LAN card in question is configured with an IP address. If not, it is a case of deconfiguring the fibre card and configuring the card in question with an IP address. If I was doing this I would change the IP address of the fibre card to an unused address then insert the original IP address into the card in question.
Changes to IP comms are best done from the physical console while using an adjacent workstation for tests.

I have a UNIX box (SCO 5.0.2) with two (2) NIC cards. One card (NIC1) talks to a network 57.14.65.x/27. The other card NIC2) talks to users on 57.14.103.x and 57.14.105.x with subnet mask of 255.255.0.0. If I set NIC2 to this subnet mask (255.255.0.0) it seems like the NIC traffic is now... (2 Replies)

I couldn't install my nic in solaris 10. I compiled and added
the driver but failed to attach the driver and ifconfig output

Here is the question? Which device should I modify ?

Print the Answer To Reset (ATR) of the card. Output is in hex byte format
--card-driver driver, -c driver

--info, -i

List all installed card drivers.
--list-files, -f
Recursively list all files stored on card.
--list-readers, -l
List all configured readers.
