Thank you for the answer.
Well it seems it's okay, no such message since then.
Haven't added new hardware or driver recently... it was more than half a year ago when I made such changes.
So it's obviously this latest kernel, but everything works perfectly now - as always before.
I was just curious about where/how could I check a log or something that tells what caused the failure.

supermicro(dual core) server getting rebooted after "decompressing the kernel;booting the kernel" message comes.
I tried giving acpi=off to the kernel command line but same problem.It shows everything ok and no problem with memory and processors and power supplies.Wt could be the reason?

I have installed Solaris 10 on my AMD 64 3000+ system. I was playing with grub commands eeprom and bootadm commands. I screwed my boot-file and now am unable to boot the system. What does "force devmap reload" as in "multipath -r" means for my system and stability of my system?
Cannot present unpresented disks back again. On a test server tried this as a solution "multipath -r" and it worked. Too worried to try it in production before I know all the information.
Any info would be appreciated!

reporter-kerneloops - Reports kernel oops to kerneloops.org (or similar) site. SYNOPSIS
reporter-kerneloops [-v] [-c CONFFILE]... [-d DIR] DESCRIPTION
The tool is used to report the crash to the Kerneloops tracker. Configuration file Configuration file contains entries in a format "Option = Value". The options are: SubmitURL The URL of the kerneloops tracker, the default is "http://submit.kerneloops.org/submitoops.php". Integration with ABRT events reporter-kerneloops can be used as a reporter, to allow users to report problems to the Kerneloops tracker. This usage is pre-configured in /etc/libreport/events.d/koops_event.conf: EVENT=report_Kerneloops analyzer=Kerneloops reporter-kerneloops It can be also used automatically and immediately without user interaction.
