Thanks Dennis once again for the fast response!
That is essentially what I want to do.
Lastly, in the textcases.txt file I would like to present the data as follows (there the numbers on the left are the initial inputs, which are know)
0.1 13246
0.05 13600
0.01 14101
Could I just add those numbers as additional string to that line of code you wrote?

One of the things that I have learned to take for granted in the Win32 world is the cut, copy and paste hotkeys of ^X, ^C and ^V.
I use these keys all the time under Win32 to copy and paste information from one GUI into another GUI.
My question is, does X have a similiar standard?
