It needs to diff every non-Win file with every Win-file that shares the same name (minus the "Win" of course). And they are stored in order in the directory (none of my files start alphabetically below "W" ) if it helps any.

Have files of the sort 3p1522015.dgn and need to have them renamed to 152201.dgn. Essentially dropping the 1st 2 characters and the last. I'm relatively new to UNIX and uncertain of where to start. I hope this provides enough detail.

SYNOPSIS
bzcmp [ cmp_options ] file1 [ file2 ]
bzdiff [ diff_options ] file1 [ file2 ]
DESCRIPTION
Bzcmp and bzdiff are used to invoke the cmp or the diff program on bzip2 compressed files. All options specified are passed directly to
cmp or diff. If only 1 file is specified, then the files compared are file1 and an uncompressed file1.bz2. If two files are specified,
then they are uncompressed if necessary and fed to cmp or diff. The exit status from cmp or diff is preserved.
