Hello, this is my first post.
I have a user who cannot create a file over 2 GB's in size eventhough the FS is large file enabled and I added a special stanza in /etc/security/limits to allow an unlimited file size for this particular user (user1 - see below).

Hello
A new file is created every day with the date appended to the end of a name. We are using Autosys to run jobs which watches for the file and runs jobs. But Autosys does not have the capability to figure out the current date.
I tried creating a symlink like this

I know how to check if any file has a unix process using a file by looking at 'lsof <fullpath/filename>' command.
I think using lsof is very expensive. Also to make it accurate we need to inlcude fullpath of the file.

Using lsof command I was able to query all Regular Files opened for write.
A specific processID related output shows some FileDescriptors(FD 45 in second output 45w) pointing to real file. But most of the FDs(1, 2, 5 in first output and 31,29,10 in second output) are pointing to root of the disk... (19 Replies)

NAME
regpatch - Applies registry patches to registry files
SYNOPSIS
regpatch [--help] [--backend=BACKEND] [--credentials=CREDENTIALS] [location] [patch-file]
DESCRIPTION
The regpatch utility applies registry patches to Windows registry files. The patch files should have the same format as is being used by
the regdiff utility and regedit32.exe from Windows.
If no patch file is specified on the command line, regpatch attempts to read it from standard input.
OPTIONS
--help
Show list of available options.
--backend BACKEND
Name of backend to load. Possible values are: creg, regf, dir and rpc. The default is dir.
--credentials=CREDENTIALS
Credentials to use, if any. Password should be separated from user name by a percent sign.
VERSION
This man page is correct for version 4.0 of the Samba suite.
