regarding the second question: this is the code of my function (which I call as labeling(2)):
Code:
function labeling(startlabel_is_n_word) { # This function aims to extract the label of nodes/edges from the .dot file.
sub("\",", " ", $startlabel_is_n_word);
print substr($startlabel_is_n_word, 9) #this prints the string starting with '[label="ActualLabel' as 'ActualLabel'.
labelword=startlabel_is_n_word+1;
if($labelword~/\"/) {} else {
do
{
labelword_cleaned = $labelword;
sub("\",", " ", labelword_cleaned);
sub("\\\\n", "\n", labelword_cleaned);
print labelword_cleaned
if($labelword~/\"/) {
# This bit of code brings us out of here if we encounter an '"'.
break}
++labelword;
} while(labelword<80);
}
};
The relevant bit here is do {...}.
Thus, I want to apply this bit on each string, starting with $2 and ending with string $80.
My input looks like this:
Code:
cset0 [label="How are members (not) exact?:\n2>assumption>approximation_improved",
awk transforms this now into
Code:
How
are
members
(not)
exact?:
2>assumption>approximation_improved
How would I need to rewrite this code to have as output:
Code:
How are members (not) exact?: 2>assumption>approximation_improved
Hi,

The awk below executes and produces the current output, which is correct, except I can not seem to include the header lines # and ## in the output as well. I tried adding !/^#/ thinking that it would skip the lines with # and output them but the entire file prints as is. Thank you :).

Locale::Codes::LangExt(3pm) Perl Programmers Reference Guide Locale::Codes::LangExt(3pm)NAME
Locale::Codes::LangExt - standard codes for language extension identification
SYNOPSIS
use Locale::Codes::LangExt;
$lext = code2langext('acm'); # $lext gets 'Mesopotamian Arabic'
$code = langext2code('Mesopotamian Arabic'); # $code gets 'acm'
@codes = all_langext_codes();
@names = all_langext_names();
DESCRIPTION
The "Locale::Codes::LangExt" module provides access to standard codes used for identifying language extensions, such as those as defined in
the IANA language registry.
Most of the routines take an optional additional argument which specifies the code set to use. If not specified, the default IANA language
registry codes will be used.
SUPPORTED CODE SETS
There are several different code sets you can use for identifying language extensions. A code set may be specified using either a name, or
a constant that is automatically exported by this module.
For example, the two are equivalent:
$lext = code2langext('acm','alpha');
$lext = code2langext('acm',LOCALE_LANGEXT_ALPHA);
The codesets currently supported are:
alpha
This is the set of three-letter (lowercase) codes from the IANA language registry, such as 'acm' for Mesopotamian Arabic.
This is the default code set.
