can you please elaborate that how can i extract it from file..

i tried this way..
filename=${Thrash_Dir/Absolutepath.txt ##*/}
echo "Abhifilepath is $filename"
filepath=${Thrash_Dir/Absolutepath.txt%/*}
echo "filename is $filepath"
both are displaying the same thing i.e. part before last "/"
/home8/mc09ats/UnixCw
