Hoping someone can offer some advice on something i have not dealt with before.
We have a server that seems to have some very strange configuration done on it. It has 2 physical NIC's and rather than both be aggregated into LAN900 we have 1 in LAN900 and 1 in LAN901? (See Below)
My question is this. We have been asked to remove the aggregation as we are trying to figure out some connectivity issues and want to revert back to running network traffic via 1 single NIC to start with. But how do i go about removing the aggregation configuration?
Can i just use the command nwmgr -d -A links=0 -I 900 -S apa for example to remove each port and then stop the daemon with /sbin/init.d/hpapa stop?
Would that work?

I have some linux machines that I am trying to increase the throughput to on a single connection. They connect to a switch with two 1GbE lines and the switch does not have Link Aggregation support for these machines. I have tried bonding with balance-rr, balance-alb, but the machines can only... Hi,
I need to setup a hacmp cluster (my first one, we usually use VCS on AIX), but I require more network bandwith than a normal gigabit etherchannel setup can provide, so I am thinking about using linkaggregation - 2 active adapters to one switch and a single backup adapter to another switch... Me again :)
I'm trying to find a page describing the L2, L3 und L4 modes of dladm.
It's nice to read "hashed by ip header", but how should I use that?
On the file-server it's ok to have the six interfaces serving six clients each on it's own. But an rsync connection via switch between two... (8 Replies)

But I dont know where I have to change it.

Hi,
I'm not from the Solaris world and some of these things are new to me. Can someone tell me if it is possible to configure link aggregation without using LACP?
I am told etherchannel was setup without LACP. (3 Replies)
I have setup link aggregation with 3 interfaces on my solaris 10 system.
All looks good but my problem is that the traffic is only going out bge0 and not the other 2 links.

flow-gen(1) General Commands Manual flow-gen(1)NAME
flow-gen -- Generate test flows
SYNOPSIS
flow-gen [-h] [-b big|little] [-d debug_level] [-n count] [-V version] [-z z_level]
DESCRIPTION
The flow-gen utility generates a test pattern of flows in any of the currently supported export versions typically for debugging purposes.
OPTIONS -b big|little
Byte order of output.
-d debug_level
Enable debugging.
-h Display help.
-n count Generate count flows. Default 1000.
-V version
Generate version type exports. Supported versions are:
1 NetFlow version 1 (No sequence numbers, AS, or mask)
5 NetFlow version 5
6 NetFlow version 6 (5+ Encapsulation size)
7 NetFlow version 7 (Catalyst switches)
8.1 NetFlow AS Aggregation
8.2 NetFlow Proto Port Aggregation
8.3 NetFlow Source Prefix Aggregation
8.4 NetFlow Destination Prefix Aggregation
8.5 NetFlow Prefix Aggregation
8.6 NetFlow Destination (Catalyst switches)
8.7 NetFlow Source Destination (Catalyst switches)
8.8 NetFlow Full Flow (Catalyst switches)
8.9 NetFlow ToS AS Aggregation
8.10 NetFlow ToS Proto Port Aggregation
8.11 NetFlow ToS Source Prefix Aggregation
8.12 NetFlow ToS Destination Prefix Aggregation
8.13 NetFlow ToS Prefix Aggregation
8.14 NetFlow ToS Prefix Port Aggregation
1005 Flow-Tools tagged version 5
-z z_level
Configure compression level to z_level. 0 is disabled (no compression), 9 is highest compression.
EXAMPLES
Generate a test pattern of 1000 version 5 flows and send them in the Cisco NetFlow packet format to 10.0.0.1 port 9500.
flow-gen -V5 | flow-send 0/10.0.0.1/9500
BUGS
The test pattern may change between releases.
