Hi, I am pretty new to the Solaris world. Just installed the version 8 and found that the time is off. I am in the Central time zone. In the beginning, the date and time was off by a day. i am new to perl. i am writing a perl script. i want to know how to change the working directories? for ex. i have a perl script in c:\proj\ . i want to run this script in this directory but i need my script to change its working directory to D:\xyz\ dynamically in the script.

I was doing timezone and DST testing which is required for some of my products
Here is the strange behaviour i observed
First i did set the timezone to PST 2010 (which is less than GMT basically negative timezone)
zdump -v /etc/localtime |grep 2010

I am having a small issue with the mail function on our controllers. Recently we set up all the boxes as NFS slave servers and mail sending was not affected. We then had to change the servers addresses in resolv.conf and now email is being queued and not being sent.

URI::URL - Uniform Resource Locators

This module is provided for backwards compatibility with modules that depend on the interface provided by the "URI::URL" class that used to
be distributed with the libwww-perl library.
The following differences compared to the "URI" class interface exist:
o The URI::URL module exports the url() function as an alternate constructor interface.
o The constructor takes an optional $base argument. The "URI::URL" class is a subclasses of "URI::WithBase".
o The URI::URL->newlocal class method is the same as URI::file->new_abs
o URI::URL::strict(1)
o $url->print_on method
o $url->crack method
o $url->full_path; same as ($uri->abs_path || "/")
o $url->netloc; same as $uri->authority
o $url->epath, $url->equery; same as $uri->path, $uri->query
o $url->path and $url->query pass unescaped strings.
o $url->path_components; same as $uri->path_segments (if you don't consider path segment parameters).
