Something that I didn't mentioned before (because it is of a little value to the original question asked):
When you use sql*loader in direct mode then it would create the table by itself - without using Oracle (or rather by itself because it is Oracle itself). This is why it can be fastest solution - you skip one interface (possibly more).
When using sql*loader in direct mode you should remember that it has a lot of constraints (ex. it "locks" the table). When dealing with huge amount of data (ex. terabytes of data per hour) then you are probably sentenced to use that option and multiple tricks/hacks. In any other case - establish a connection (...)

NAME

       SQL::ReservedWords::Oracle - Reserved SQL words by Oracle

SYNOPSIS

	  if ( SQL::ReservedWords::Oracle->is_reserved( $word ) ) {
	      print "$word is a reserved Oracle word!";
	  }

DESCRIPTION

       Determine if words are reserved by Oracle Database.

METHODS

       is_reserved( $word )
	   Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by either Oracle7, Oracle8i, Oracle9i or Oracle10g.

       is_reserved_by_oracle7( $word )
	   Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by Oracle7.

       is_reserved_by_oracle8( $word )
	   Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by Oracle8i.

       is_reserved_by_oracle9( $word )
	   Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by Oracle9i.

       is_reserved_by_oracle10( $word )
