Here a short question.
For a script i have to sort files by date and exclude the files of the actual date.
Sorting the files by date and preparing the output for awk is done by this line:

Can any one tell the command to list all the files that are created as of today from all the directories?
The Command "ls -ltR" is listing all the files.
But I want the list of files that has been created as of today along with the directory path:)

I am building a script to identify those files created/modified today and with file size 0. I am able to find the files with 0 file size and created/modified in last 24 hrs as shown below but not today (current date), I tried using (touch -t time filenm) but in my version of unix at work it... My other issue I have seems very simple but im just not seeing it. I have a script that checks on a remote share to see if the backups for some systems have run. Its as simple as:

SYNOPSIS
touch [OPTION]... FILE...
DESCRIPTION
Update the access and modification times of each FILE to the current time.
Mandatory arguments to long options are mandatory for short options too.
-a change only the access time
-B, --backward=SECONDS
Modify the time by going back SECONDS seconds. For example, touch -r foo -B 5 bar will make the file bar 5 seconds older than file
foo.
-c, --no-create
do not create any files
-d, --date=STRING
parse STRING and use it instead of current time
-F, --forward=SECONDS
Modify the time by going forward SECONDS seconds. For example, touch -r foo -F 5 bar will make the file bar 5 seconds newer than
file foo.
-f (ignored)
-m change only the modification time
-r, --reference=FILE
use this file's times instead of current time
-t STAMP
use [[CC]YY]MMDDhhmm[.ss] instead of current time
--time=WORD
set time given by WORD: access atime use (same as -a) modify mtime (same as -m)
--help display this help and exit
--version
output version information and exit
Note that the -d and -t options accept different time-date formats.
