I imagine that bsdtar is a link to tar but just to prove it run:
If the output does not mention GNU then you do not have gnu tar installed, so will need to install it from here: Tar - GNU Project - Free Software Foundation (FSF) then try Xarchiver again...

I am getting error as below:
