I am having a shell script and i will pass different argument diferent time . Please tell me how can i find the last argument that i passsed each time when i exec the script.

this is a simple script

FileCnt=`ls -lrt $DIR/* | wc -l`
echo $FileCnt
how could i escape the error msg if there are no files in $DIR
ls: /home/sayantan/test/files/cnt/*: No such file or directory
