Correct syntax
Thanks a lot for that syntax. I requested the change and I am now getting the correct results.
I can not use the module because I have only the access_log text files.

I am trying to check each line and based on first two digits, the comma needs to be place. I checked in the earlier post where the text is converted to csv with a tab delimited.

I was looking at a library that lets me parse comma delimited csv files without a problem, but unfortunately, I'm not allowed to make use of that library. I need urgent help to convert a flat log file into csv format to load into database.
Log looks like:
a=1
b=2
c=3
a=4
b=5
c=6
Only the values at right side of = will come into csv and it should create a new line once it receives "a" field. (8 Replies)

Attached there is a input.txt and code.txt file.
I use that code to create a csv file from txt file.
Is there the possibility to generate other code more faster to generate the CVS file using the input file.
I have deleted many data in the input file to avoid load a lot data.

oldlog2new [ -hez ] [ -f logfile ] [ -s srmfile ]
DESCRIPTION
Convert an NCSA httpd 1.1 access_log file to CLF access_log
OPTIONS
Display Options:
-h Help -- just display this message and quit.
-e Display all invalid log entries on STDERR. (default is to ignore
them)
Input Options:
-f Read from the following access_log file instead of the default.
-z Use zcat to uncompress the log file while reading [requires -f].
-s Get the server directives from the following srm.conf file.
