Solaris 10 Monitoring Script

This script checks Solaris 8, 9, and 10 Servers, but is basically designed for Solaris 10. This script presents a menu of options and monitors for SVM, Filesystem status, Filesystem Inodes status, syslog, Sun clusters, zones, zfs, prstat, zfs, lan, IPMP, process stat, sar, and root mirror status.

I would like to know if it is possible to read from an I/O Port in solaris. I need to monitor the parallel port of 1 PC and save all the incoming and outgoing messages. repl-monitor - Directory Server replication monitor SYNOPSIS
repl-monitor -f configuration-file [-h host] [-p port] [-r] [-u refresh-url] [-t refresh-interval] [-v] DESCRIPTION
Outputs the status of all of the configured Directory Servers participating in replication. The servers to query for status are specified in the configuration file. OPTIONS
