Operating Systems Solaris Solaris Login Screen Not Loading Post 302344299 by Bradj47 on Saturday 15th of August 2009 04:54:04 PM

The file system type is now ZFS and reinstalling solved the login screen problem, but now I need to figure out how to get the proper ethernet driver installed. The manual for my motherboard says it's PCIe Gigabit LAN. Is there a driver for this type of ethernet for Solaris? To install drivers I'm guessing I'd choose option 5 on the black screen after the GRUB menu. I'll start searching for the driver now, I just need to know how to install it.

I just found a floppy with 'gani driver' written on it and I googled 'gani' and it turns out it's an ethernet driver. Now how do I install it?
