You must love technology! You must be willing to put in the effort and discipline to learn.
Pay is not bad for the experienced. Start from the ground up. Learn C. Read Tannenbaum (design of the Unix operating system). Read Stevens (Adv. Unix Programming). Learn TCP/IP. Learn Linux!! Proprietary operating systems will not last. Learn how to build embedded Linux systems; appliances are the next hot thing. Virtualization is hot, learn Qemu, Xen, KVM (kernel virtual machine), (of course vmware too). Follow with high-level languages such as java, ruby, python. Of course scripting languages will always be changing, so who knows where java, ruby or python will be in ten years. Stay up to date. The computer technology changes by the hour; it's important to continue learning.

DESCRIPTION

       "PPI::Token::Magic" is a sub-class of PPI::Token::Symbol which identifies the token as "magic variable", one of the strange and unusual
       variables that are connected to "things" behind the scenes.

       Some are extremely common, like $_, and others you will quite probably never encounter in your Perl career.

METHODS

       The class provides no additional methods, beyond those provided by it's PPI::Token::Symbol, PPI::Token and PPI::Element.
