Using Perl to query a website and parse the result
Hi,
I am a JAVA programmer and I have no idea about perl. I did use it a long time ago and I don't even remember the basics. So here is my problem:
In my work, I am supposed to build a simple program that opens a website (Gene Ontology)and passes my query and returns the result into a file. The program input into the terminal looks like this :
Here m, c and b are three types of queries and only one type will be passes into the program.
Can someone help me out? I have no idea who this can be done in perl and I can't use JAVA or python for this. The output has to be piped into a file.
Can any one help me how to pass the value of result of one query to another query.
I to pass the value of result of 'select max(id) from a' into another query
like
update table
set col =<value from last query>
where ....;
updatestaging()
{
xx=`$ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus -s... (1 Reply)

PAR::Packer - PAR Packager
DESCRIPTION
This module implements the App::Packer::Backend interface, for generating stand-alone executables, perl scripts and PAR files.
Currently, this module is used by the command line tool pp internally, as well as by the contributed contrib/gui_pp/gpp program.
Since version 0.97 of PAR, this module and its related tools such as "pp" have been stripped from the PAR distribution and are now
distributed as the "PAR-Packer" distribution so that PAR users need not necessarily have a C compiler.
