To keep the forums high quality for all users, please take the time to format your posts correctly.

First of all, use Code Tags when you post any code or data samples so others can easily read your code. You can easily do this by highlighting your code and then clicking on the # in the editing menu. (You can also type code tags
and
by hand.)

Second, avoid adding color or different fonts and font size to your posts. Selective use of color to highlight a single word or phrase can be useful at times, but using color, in general, makes the forums harder to read, especially bright colors like red.

Third, be careful when you cut-and-paste, edit any odd characters and make sure all links are working property.

Thank You.

 /^public function/ && fn = $0
 if ($0 ~ sc) print fn
 }' sc='call Global Function1' infile

highlight_string - Syntax highlighting of a string

SYNOPSIS
mixed highlight_string (string $str, [bool $return = false]) DESCRIPTION
Outputs or returns html markup for a syntax highlighted version of the given PHP code using the colors defined in the built-in syntax highlighter for PHP. PARAMETERS
o $str - The PHP code to be highlighted. This should include the opening tag. o $return - Set this parameter to TRUE to make this function return the highlighted code. RETURN VALUES
If $return is set to TRUE, returns the highlighted code as a string instead of printing it out. Otherwise, it will return TRUE on success, FALSE on failure. EXAMPLES
Example #1 highlight_string(3) example <?php highlight_string('<?php phpinfo(); ?>'); ?> The above example will output (in PHP 4): <code><font color="#000000"> <font color="#0000BB">&lt;?php phpinfo</font><font color="#007700">(); </font><font color="#0000BB">?&gt;</font> </font> </code> The above example will output (in PHP 5): <code><span style="color: #000000"> <span style="color: #0000BB">&lt;?php phpinfo</span><span style="color: #007700">(); </span><span style="color: #0000BB">?&gt;</span> </span> </code> NOTES
Note When the $return parameter is used, this function uses internal output buffering so it cannot be used inside an ob_start(3) callback function. The HTML markup generated is subject to change. SEE ALSO
