Hi,
I have a folder with diff subfolders in my Unix box and now I want to ftp all the floders into my Windows machine. Is there any easy way to do that. When I use the "mget " cmd and try to FTP the files, it throws an error that the sub folder name does not exist.

i have sun solaris 10 server, fedora 10, and Windows Server.. i cant ping my sun solaris 10, fedora 10 and Windows Server using hostname (etc: ping winserver.bengkel2.com), but i can ping all using IPV4 and IPV6 address.. can u give some suggestion to solve my problem or some idea to... (3 Replies)

I have searched on google and sun documentation but it's still not clear for me; how do we boot a sun Solaris server?
I know what to do but only from this step:
1- start /SYS
2- start /SP/console

When I try to install Solaris 8 10/00 OS via the Solaris 8 Installation Disk on our Sun Fire V490 Server using the command , I get:
boot: cannot open kernel/sparcv9/unix
which means it can't find the unix kernel file on the installation disk .

optisa instruction_set...
DESCRIPTION
optisa prints which instruction_set out of the ones specified in the command will perform best on this machine. In this case, ``best''
is defined by the order in which instruction set names are returned by isalist(1). Possible values for instruction_set are given in
isalist(5).
