i have a small unix script and i want to use it with java, so how can i executte unix command with java (if it is possible): in fact i want to use some values returned by this script with java swings.

I am trying to run a simple UNIX command after i successfully executed SFTP command as shown below.

Hi all,
I tried to execute the command by 2 ways :
1) Java Runtime class exec method - but the problem there is that it only can execute scripts without arguments(I need with args)
2) the Jtux classs Uprocess- the problem it is not supported by windows and my eclips platform is on... (0 Replies)

Net::SSH::Perl ...... how to print the output in a proper format
my $cmd = "ls -l";
my $ssh = Net::SSH::Perl->new($host);
$ssh->login($user, $pass);
my($stdout, $stderr, $exit) = $ssh->cmd("$cmd");
print $stdout;

i have a problem situation, where i have a html file say click.html. i have a button "ls" in that html page. i run this html file in windows....Now say if i click that "ls" button it must connect to the unix server and execute ls and return the results back to html page in windows. can anyone tell... I am trying to run the PMCMD commend to execute the informatica workflow but while executing from my home directory i am getting below error
ksh: pmcmd: not found
I executed from my server/bin directory too. I am getting the same error.

The time() function returns the value of time in seconds since 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds, January 1, 1970, Coordinated Universal Time. A copy of the time value may be saved to the area indicated by the pointer tloc. If tloc is a NULL pointer, no value is stored. Upon successful completion, time() returns the value of time. Otherwise a value of ((time_t) -1) is returned and the global variable errno is set to indicate the error. ERRORS

The time() function conforms to ISO/IEC 9945-1:1990 (``POSIX.1''). HISTORY
A time() function appeared in Version 2 AT&T UNIX. It returned a 32-bit value measuring sixtieths of a second, leading to rollover every 2.26 years. In Version 6 AT&T UNIX, the precision of time() was changed to seconds, allowing 135.6 years between rollovers. In NetBSD 6.0 the time_t type was changed to be 64 bits wide, including on 32-bit machines, making rollover a concern for the far distant future only. Note however that any code making the incorrect assumption that time_t is the same as long will fail on 32-bit machines in 2038. BSD
