There may be many ways to do it..
Let the first script write a log into a file and when it ends successfully, let it write something like "script successful" or "script failed".

Use a while loop in the other script check the file and see if it has success or failure in the logs. If it greps for a sucess, let it end the loop and start running the rest of the code.
or else exit the script.

script [-a] [filename] DESCRIPTION
The script utility makes a record of everything printed on your screen. The record is written to filename. If no file name is given, the record is saved in the file typescript. See WARNINGS. The script command forks and creates a sub-shell, according to the value of $SHELL, and records the text from this session. The script ends when the forked shell exits or when Control-d is typed.
