I'm looking for a Linux equivalent to the DOS
that lists the directories ("folders" in Windows) in the current directory.
I looked at the ls manpage, which says
but
gives only
the current directory itself, instead of the dozen or so directories that actually reside in the current directory. (This directory has many files with long filenames, so I'd prefer not to go through the 10-page listing -- but mostly I want to learn how things like this are done.)
A painfully rudimentary UNIX question for somebody. I've been puzzling over this for the last hour but can't find the right command.
I'm simply trying to get a list of all files - and their full paths - within a folder & subfolders which have extension .php and .js. That's it! No amount of... (1 Reply)
