Hi,
I have a bit problem with my server.. The httpd server seems to be running and all but the websites which are hosted on it are not opening .. any hints what else it might be, here is what I get when /etc/init.d/httpd status

we are looking at changing the way we get root on our network.
in our current system if an admin needs root access he just gets the root password and uses an su.
some of our staff have decided that a sudo to "/bin/sh" will be easer.
some of our staff think a sudo to "su -" will be better.

Sudo In AIX, how to find out what commands have been run after a user sudo to another user? for example, user sam run 'sudo -u robert ksh' then run some commands, how can I (as root) find what commands have been run?

I running a unix command using sudo option inside shell script. Its working well. But in crontab the same command is not working and its throwing

We keep having a problem with the httpd freezing and users getting time outs.
I am not the Sys Admin but since I am the 1st one in, I have to restart the httpd server.

git instaweb [--local] [--httpd=<httpd>] [--port=<port>] [--browser=<browser>] git instaweb [--start] [--stop] [--restart] DESCRIPTION
A simple script to set up gitweb and a web server for browsing the local repository. OPTIONS
-l, --local Only bind the web server to the local IP (127.0.0.1). -d, --httpd The HTTP daemon command-line that will be executed. Command-line options may be specified here, and the configuration file will be added at the end of the command-line. Currently apache2, lighttpd, mongoose, plackup and webrick are supported. (Default: lighttpd) -m, --module-path The module path (only needed if httpd is Apache). (Default: /usr/lib/apache2/modules) -p, --port The port number to bind the httpd to. (Default: 1234) -b, --browser The web browser that should be used to view the gitweb page. This will be passed to the git web--browse helper script along with the URL of the gitweb instance. See git-web--browse(1) for more information about this. If the script fails, the URL will be printed to stdout. start, --start Start the httpd instance and exit. Regenerate configuration files as necessary for spawning a new instance. stop, --stop Stop the httpd instance and exit.
