If noone has made changes to your sshd_config file then that holds true. Since AIX now uses an
OpenSSH build you can use the openssh
sshd_config (5) reference as your guide.

Does that mean the default of PubkeyAuthentication is no (or yes)?

I have what should be a simple request, (I hope so anyways), I need the default sshd_config for Sun SSH 1.1.1. A series of scripts modify our systems to work with the rest of our system. How can I check and modify /etc/ssh/sshd_config parameters in a script? I'll particular to check and enable / disable PasswordAuthentication and PubkeyAuthentication. I know I can edit sshd_config by vi, but for some reason we need change it in a script.

NAME
sftp-server - SFTP server subsystem
SYNOPSIS
/usr/lib/ssh/sftp-server
DESCRIPTION
sftp-server implements the server side of the SSH File Transfer Protocol as defined in the IETF draft-ietf-secsh-filexfer.
sftp-server is a subsystem for sshd(1M) and must not be run directly. There are no options or config settings.
To enable the sftp-server subsystem for sshd add the following to /etc/ssh/sshd_config:
Subsystem sftp /usr/lib/ssh/sftp-server
See sshd_config(4) for a description of the format and contents of that file.
There is no relationship between the protocol used by sftp-server and the FTP protocol (RFC 959) provided by in.ftpd.
EXIT STATUS
The following exit values are returned:
0 Successful completion.
>0 An error occurred.
