I had a Solaris 10 system running ldap perfectly with no problems. However, there was a power failure over the weekend, and now, ldap does not work.
1. svcadm enable svc:/network/ldap/client:default executes, but the service does not get enabled.

I have been able to configure on an AIX 5.2 ldap.cfg so service starts correctly.
but when I try to log on with a windows user after entering the password login hangs and get no response.
I have set it up on Aix 5.3 with no problem but in Aix 5.2 I have not been able to log in.

I have very limited knowledge on LDAP configuration and have been trying fix one issue, but unsuccessful.

rdate - set system date from a remote host SYNOPSIS
rdate hostname DESCRIPTION
rdate sets the local date and time from the hostname given as an argument. You must have the authorization solaris.system.date on the local system. Typically, rdate is used in a startup script. The inetd daemon responds to rdate requests. To enable inetd response, the lines invoking the time command in inetd.conf must not be com- mented out. USAGE
