I've tried this a long time ago and was successful but could not remember how i did it. Tried ctrl+Z and then used bg %

I have used nohup command to run a process in background. i ran successfully and i exit from that terminal. Is there a way to configure a Linux machine so that I can click on any where on the Xterm window to bring it to the front/top. By default, I have to click on the title bar but often the entire title bar is underneath another window.

DESCRIPTION
The tcgetpgrp() function returns the value of the process group ID of the foreground process group associated with the terminal device. If
there is no foreground process group, tcgetpgrp() returns an invalid process ID.
ERRORS
If an error occurs, tcgetpgrp() returns -1 and the global variable errno is set to indicate the error, as follows:
[EBADF] The fildes argument is not a valid file descriptor.
[ENOTTY] The calling process does not have a controlling terminal or the underlying terminal device represented by fildes is not
the controlling terminal.
