Hi, my question is quite simple: Can I update a csv file which is held on a unix box (and which a script on the same box uses) with Microsoft Excel running in a windows environment? Hi,
I am using Solaris 8. My script outputs 4 .csv files. Currently I am SFTPing the files and creating a new excel file with the 4 files as sheets.
Can anyone suggest ways to do this in UNIX ?

I am using xls2csv to convert a xls file into a regular .csv file. However, while using the command as
xls2csv fromfile.xls > tofile.csv
I am getting the following error.
fromfile.xls is not OLE file or Error
I also tried to specify the comma as delimiter but did not help...

pyexcelerator - a module for reading/writing Excel spreadsheet files SYNOPSIS
pyexcelerator DESCRIPTION
This manual page was written for the Debian distribution because the original program does not have a manual page. pyExcelerator is a Python module that can generate Excel 97/2000/XP/2003 spreadsheet files. It can also extract data from these files. It supports Unicode in Excel files, and can use a variety of formatting features and printing options. It can dump Excel and OLE2 compound files.
