I'm watching a particular expression as it is appended in a line to a file:
tail -f LOG | sed -n /"$@"/p
So whatever value I pass into this script will tail -f the file, but only show me lines that contain the value:
lgwatch expression

At the moment, using Notepad++ to do a search and replace, manually section by section which is real painful. Yeah, so copying each section of the line of text and putting into a file and then search and replace, need at least 3-operations in Notepad++.

NAME
syscallbypid.d - syscalls by process ID. Uses DTrace.
SYNOPSIS
syscallbypid.d
DESCRIPTION
This reports the number of each type of system call made by PID. This is useful to identify which process is causing the most system
calls.
This is based on a script from DExplorer.
Since this uses DTrace, only users with root privileges can run this command.
EXAMPLES
This samples until Ctrl-C is hit.
# syscallbypid.d
FIELDS
PID process ID
CMD process name
SYSCALL
system call name
COUNT number of system calls made in this sample

EXIT
