acl_delete_perm
acl_delete_perm(3) Library Functions Manual acl_delete_perm(3)
NAME
acl_delete_perm - Delete permissions from a set of permissions belonging to an ACL entry
LIBRARY
Security Library (libpacl.a)
SYNOPSIS
#include <sys/acl.h>
int acl_delete_perm( acl_permset_t permset_d,
acl_perm_t perm_d);
PARAMETERS
Specifies the permission set of the working storage internal representation ACL entry. Specifies the file permissions to be deleted (a
combination of ACL_EXECUTE, ACL_READ, and ACL_WRITE).
DESCRIPTION
NOTE: This function is based on Draft 13 of the POSIX P1003.6 standard.
The acl_delete_perm() function deletes the specified permission in perm_d from the permission set. This function does not return an error
if the permission set does not have any of the specified permissions turned on.
RETURN VALUES
Upon successful completion, the acl_delete_perm() function returns a value of 0 (zero). Otherwise, a value of -1 is returned, and errno is
set to indicate the error.
ERRORS
If the following condition occurs, the acl_delete_perm() function sets errno to the corresponding value: The permset_d parameter does not
refer to a valid permission set.
The perm_d parameter does not contain valid file permission bits.
