What do you call the OLD IP address?
Normally a MCSG package has its own, that should follow the package when changing node...
A long time since I last touched a cluster but here are some commands for a start:
cmhaltpkg pkgname (shutdown the package)
cmrunpkg -v -n nodename pkgname (startup the package)
cmviewcl (Show the status for package)
cmviewcl -v (Show detailed statusby package)

I have a 2-node ServiceGuard cluster. One of the cluster packages has a volume group assigned to it. When I fail the package over to the other node, the volume group does not come up automatically on the other node.
I have to manually do a "vgchange -a y vgname" on the node before the package... (5 Replies)

Hey! I'm running a HP ServiceGuard cluster with three nodes. One of the packages was moved (not by me) from one node to another a few weeks ago.
I just noticed that one of the volume groups is still mounted on the old node. Oops! When I run df, less space is used on the old node than the new.

SYNTAX
whohas [--no-threads] [--shallow] [--strict] [-d Dist1[,Dist2[,Dist3 etc.]]] pkgname
DESCRIPTION
whohas is a command line tool to query package lists from the Arch, Debian, Fedora, Gentoo, Mandriva, openSUSE, Slackware (and linuxpack-
ages.net), Source Mage, Ubuntu, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Fink, MacPorts and Cygwin distributions.
OPTIONS
--no-threads
Don't use multiple threads to query package lists (will be much slower)
--shallow
Limit to one call per server. Faster, but loses some information, typically package size and release date.
--strict
List only those packages that have exactly pkgname as their name.
-d Dist1[,Dist2[,Dist3 etc.]]
Queries only for packages for the listed distributions. Recognised values for Dist1, Dist2, etc. are "archlinux", "cygwin",
"debian", "fedora", "fink", "freebsd", "gentoo", "mandriva", "macports", "netbsd", "openbsd", "opensuse", "slackware", "sourcemage",
and "ubuntu".

Package name to query for
FILES
whohas uses various files in ~/.whohas to cache package lists for some distributions.
