Hi
Can anyone help with this awk command??????
awk '/name:/','/DOB:/' somefile | grep -v something | cut -f2 -d":" | cut -f2 -d" " > somefilename
This works perfectly well and the content of the file looks like this:
name
dob
name
dob
etc
etc
However, I would like the file to look like this:
name : dob
name : dob
etc
etc
etc
Is this possible using awk and would I also have to use a for i command also????
Would appreciate any input.
Thanks in advance
