I do have a server (SUNV240) with Solaris 9, it has a PCI gigaswift ethernet card for fiber with SC connector, everytime I reboot the server the card won't link up unless I unplug it and plug it back again, for remote operations this is a hassle since sometimes reboots are needed and this card... we have SUN Gigabit ethernet cards at the server, both have 2 lines connected but hiw can I found out which cable is on which port before I configure it: the cards has 4 ports , from right to left the cables are connected at the first right then 2 empty then the last at the left side.

The Farallon EtherWave and EtherMac card came in two varieties. The ep(4) driver supports the 595 and 895 cards. These cards have the blue
arrow on the front along with a 3Com logo. The Farallon 595a cards, which have a red arrow on the front, are also called EtherWave and
EtherMac. They are supported by the sn driver.
