Hi,
Im trying to write something that will report if a filesytem is over 80% but the problem is the output reports on a dir that is a 9%.
any ideas?
this is what I have

i have records in my input file like this
aaa|1234||2bc||rahul|tamilnadu
bba|2234||b4c||bajaj|tamilnadu
what i am expecting is in between two pipes if there is no character it should be replaced with null or 0
so my file will look like this

if ($EndByC=="") then #check if ther is XXX.c directory
echo Sorry ther is no XXX.c folder "in" $base path

Hi,
I have a pipe seperated file
I want to write a code to display count of lines that have 20th field not null.
nawk -F"|" '{if ($20!="") print NR,$20}' xyz..txt
This displays records with 20th field also null.

I want to take 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th string.
