Previously, if I type !cp <tab> the last cp command would come automatically. However, something has changed recently with my system.
I am unable to get a autocomplete !cp <tab> now. Where can I look for the changes ? Any idea what might have caused it ? (1 Reply)

I want to connect to Database through shell command line.
Here is my command from putty,
$ sqlplus -S ora/ora@ORA
But I am not able to connact to database.
If this command succed, what is the expected output on shell prompt?

Can anybody help me with this small script , the script works fine and launches the IE from
c:\documents and settings \test\my documents>ksh prompt
$RunURL1.sh

I've posted about this before, but only recently narrowed the problem down to a specific cause.
Ok, first of all, the behavior:
It occurs when autocompletion brings up its list (not when there is only a single option). Basically, if I were to type, say,

I'm attempting to set up a two-line prompt using Korn.
This is what I've set up in .kshrc
PS1='$(print -n "`logname`@`hostname`:";if ] then; print -n "~${PWD#$HOME}"; else; print -n "$PWD";fi;print "\n$ ")'
And in .profile,
ENV="$HOME/.kshrc"; export ENV

I'm using a complete command in tcsh this way, the echo cmd is just for the example :
complete echo 'p/1/`mypythonalias`/'
And that works just great returning what the python script is printing out.
