I have this problem that there are blank spaces in my text file... i want to remove them
I want to remove the space between line 2 and line 3... I tried sed... it work but it prints the whole text file at the command prompt which i dont want....
sde i tried was like this
I dont want any kind of printing for sed... is there way to do this without giving an output to command prompt and just do the thing in the textfile...

I want to remove blank spaces in file . I just leraned that we can use
" cat <Input filename> | tr -s ‘ ‘ > <Target file name> "
i also know with SED we can replace a blank space by other character by
sed s/ /*/g filename.

PARAMETERS

on_read_line => CODE
CODE reference for the "on_read_line" event.
METHODS
$lineprotocol->write_line( $text )
Writes a line of text to the transport stream. The text will have the end-of-line marker appended to it; $text should not end with it.
