ZStar ZC0305 doesn't work under openCV
I am using ZC0305b ZStar webcam.
Highgui errors that compression format is invalid for both v4l2 and v4l.
The same openCV apps work with different camera.
openCV message boards suggest using libv4l . How can I implement this?

exit 1
./command.ksh "ls -l ~jason"
Why does this ONLY iterate on the first server in the list? It's not doing the command on all the servers in the list, what am I missing?
Thanks!

it seams that my ctrl+c and my ctrl+d don't work. if I type a bunch of jiberish on a line and ctrl+c I expect the command to be cancelled and to be given a fresh prompt, but instead it just putts ^C at the end of the line.
Also, ctrl+d should close the session, but instead mine just puts ^D at... (3 Replies)

Hi. I've been playing around a bit. This isn't for any practical purpose-- it's really just a theoretical exercise. I wrote this little thing:
foreach num ( 6 5 4 )
awk -v "number=$num" 'BEGIN{for(x=0;x<$number;x++) printf "-"; printf "\n"}'
end
I would expect the following output:

V4L(4) Kernel Interfaces Manual V4L(4)
NAME
v4l - video4linux driver
SYNOPSIS
Section "Module"
...
Load "v4l"
EndSection
DESCRIPTION
v4l is an Xorg driver for video4linux cards. It provides a Xvideo extension port for video overlay. Just add the driver to the module
list within the module section of your xorg.conf file if you want to use it. There are no config options.
Note that the extmod module is also required for the Xvideo support (and lots of other extensions too).
SUPPORTED HARDWARE
The v4l driver works with every piece of hardware which is supported by a video4linux (kernel-) device driver and is able to handle video
overlay.
bt848/bt878-based TV cards are the most popular hardware these days.
CONFIGURATION DETAILS
Please refer to xorg.conf(5) for general configuration details. This section only covers configuration details specific to this driver.
