Hi all,
I'm installing RedHat 7.0 on a laptop. As it's a dual boot with win2k I make a boot sector instead of using the MBR. After the install I mark the boot sector active in windows then I can boot into Linux.

One of my software should be compiled by fortran 90 under liunx enviroment. I have installed Redhat 7.2, but I don't know where is the free software of fortran 90.

hello people i just installed redhat, everything seemes to be fine, but when i start it, it boots up normally and starts firstboot or whatever, then it opens something, i can move the mouse for a while(thats all i see.. first the X then an arrow..) but then the whole computer freezes.. i think the... How can I find out with a C program, on which RedHat version the program is being ran ? I do know through compilation variables that I'm on RedHat but so far cannot find out which one.
Currently the closest I got was to invoke an ls or cat through syscall for the release or motd files.

system-config-kickstart - graphical interface for creating kickstart files SYNOPSIS
system-config-kickstart [KSFILE] DESCRIPTION
system-config-kickstart provides a simple method of creating a kickstart file that can be used to automate the installation process on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Fedora, and derived distributions. If given, the program will take its initial settings from the KSFILE provided on the command line. This allows editing of existing kick- start files. Currently, this program has some serious limitations. For example, it cannot work with LVM nor do advanced RAID and BTRFS configurations. These are supported by kickstart, but the graphical program does not provide a way to set them up nor manipulate them in existing kickstart files. OPTIONS
--help Print out program usage. --generate FILENAME Examine the system and create a kickstart file that more or less matches, writing the output to FILENAME. --display DISPLAY# Specify the X display to use. EXAMPLES
