Operating Systems Linux Debian change initramfs by hand? Post 302269520 by ddreggors on Wednesday 17th of December 2008 11:27:38 PM

The relevant lines are:

Code:
default 0

and the first boot option as the default is "0"

Code:
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.26-1-686 Default
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/mapper/rootfs ro\n")
initrd /initrd.img

so can you send us the output from:
Code:
# ls -l /boot/initrd.img

and if that is a symbolic link (/boot/initrd.img -> /boot/some_other-file.img) please send the output from an "ls -l" against that file as well.

initramfs on 2.4 kernel

Is there a patch available to support initramfs on the 2.4 kernel? We can't upgrade to 2.6 for legacy purposes. All I found on google were early references to how initramfs is better than the 2.4 initrd. Thanks much! (0 Replies)

NAME
img-xpm - Img, X Windows Pixmap Format (xpm) SYNOPSIS
package require Tk package require img::xpm ?1.3? image create photo ?name? ?options? DESCRIPTION
The package img::xpm is a sub-package of Img. It can be loaded as a part of the complete Img support, via package require Img, or on its own, via package require img::xpm. Like all packages of Img it does not provide new commands, but extends the existing Tk command image so that it supports files containing raster images in the X Windows Pixmap Format (xpm). More specifically img::xpm extends Tk's photo image type. The name of the new format handler is xpm. This handler does not provide additional configuration options. All of the above means that in a call like image create photo ?name? ?options? [1] Image data in xpm format (options -data and -file) is detected automatically. [2] The format name xpm is recognized by the option -format. SEE ALSO
