Operating Systems Linux resolve one IP on DNS server Post 302268820 by Lazydog on Tuesday 16th of December 2008 11:03:54 AM

Just adding the dns server responsible for resolving that one ip to your resolv.conf file is not going to do the trick. The real question here is why that server is not resolving that ip or why your requests for that host is not being sent to the proper dns server.

With more information, like the ip and or host and the dns server that hosts it, we might be able to give you a better answer.
