pass variables from one script to another
HI all
I am calling a script "b" from script "a". In script "a", i connect to database and get month and year. I have to pass these same values to script b. How can i do that. How can i pass parameters from one script to another

I have a perl script that opens a text file containing numbers on each line:
for example:
755993

755997
755998
The perl script takes these numbers and store them as an array @raw_data, where I can access individual numbers by using $raw_data for the value 755993.... (2 Replies)

script - make record of a terminal session
SYNOPSIS
script [-a] [filename]
DESCRIPTION
The script utility makes a record of everything printed on your screen. The record is written to filename. If no file name is given, the
record is saved in the file typescript. See WARNINGS.
The script command forks and creates a sub-shell, according to the value of $SHELL, and records the text from this session. The script ends
when the forked shell exits or when Control-d is typed.
OPTIONS
The following option is supported:
-a Appends the session record to filename, rather than overwriting it.
NOTES
script places everything that appears on the screen in filename, including prompts.
