how can i identify the type of a file? . I'm working in Unix (Solaris 5.7) and i would like identify if a file is or not is a "flat file". I need have a program what separates the flat file in a directory, and the excel file in another directory.

I have to write Linux script to findout what kind of ilo is been installed in the given ip address either ilo/LO100 or no device found.
IP address will be given in the command line of the script.

I installed apache in CentOS 5.5 ,after searching the web for tips on configuration
I did the fallowing stuff to unable connecting the http server from outside.

How can i do that?
I grepped with:
grep Sun messages*
but with this command, if there server was never rebooted, i cannot recognize the server type.
any other idea?

DESCRIPTION
"Apache::TestHandler" provides 2 very simple response handler.
FUNCTIONS
ok $r, $boolean
The handler simply prints out "ok" or "not ok" depending on the optional $boolean parameter.
If $boolean is omitted "true" is assumed.
ok1 $r, $boolean
This handler implements a simple response-only test. It can be used on its own to check if for a certain URI the response phase is
reached. Or it can be called like a normal function to print out the test result. The client side is automatically created as described
in <http://perl.apache.org/docs/general/testing/testing.html#Developing_Response_only_Part_of_a_Test>.
$boolean is optional. If omitted "true" is assumed.
