We use Netbackup but I am no Netbackup admin. Though it is as I already described. Use on Windows the Taskmanager and see if at least the process for the backup agent is running. On the Netbackup Master Server you have a report and monitor where you can check the status of jobs, if they run etc..
If you just start a test backup, you will see what error you get from your specific client and I know that you can click details to get more info about the reason something is not working.

I have 3 SCO 5.0.5 machines. Two are running the /etc/bkupexec/agent.be just fine but the 3rd fails with a NRL initialization error. It can't seem to find the backup server in the /etc/hosts file.
The entry is in the /etc/hosts file.

NAME
pmdaelasticsearch - elasticsearch performance metrics domain agent (PMDA)
DESCRIPTION
pmdaelasticsearch is a Performance Metrics Domain Agent (PMDA) which exports metric values from elasticsearch.
INSTALLATION
This PMDA requires that elasticsearch is running on the local host and is accepting queries on TCP port 9200
Install the elasticsearch PMDA by using the Install script as root:
# cd $PCP_PMDAS_DIR/elasticsearch
# ./Install
To uninstall, do the following as root:
# cd $PCP_PMDAS_DIR/elasticsearch
# ./Remove
pmdaelasticsearch is launched by pmcd(1) and should never be executed directly. The Install and Remove scripts notify pmcd(1) when the
agent is installed or removed.
