It's been a few months since I've posted, but I've found an easier way to do this...not to mention this was so simple a snake should have bitten me when I first generated the inquiry for you guys.
One way to convert a simple text file into an executable from a text file is to simply change the extension "txt" to "exec" on the end of the file while your in a windows VM like Parallels or VM Fusion. When you do this you'll be prompted with:..."If you change a filename extension, the file may become unusable. Are you sure you want to change it?"...
Go ahead and answer "yes" and your text file icon will immediately change to and exec file icon. Drag it to your mac desktop from the VM (or transfer it onto a thumb drive to the mac) to your Mac desktop and wa-lah!
Now you should be able to just drop it into terminal and run your script.
