Your question isnt clear to me. Sorry, if you can give us more information like below, it would help us.

What is the HP-UX OS you are using?
Is the system up and running now?
Also, are you trying to change the root disk? Or, is that just going to be a data disk?
Is that disk going to be added internally or externally?
Are you planning to use LVM or VXVM for managing?

Finally, is the server hot swapable?

I searched for documents regarding c class 3600 workstation for specifications and dint find any. If you can give us these information, we can then give you procedures..
